Karim Ansarifard - Birthday

PLDC - Karim Ansarifard is celebrating his 28th birthday today and shows no signs of slowing up.

The Iranian international striker is dreaming to shine at the 2018 World Cup in Carlos Queiroz’s team. The Olympiacos striker will experience his second World Cup after playing in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Ansarifard made his debut against Iceland in November 2009 under Afshin Ghotbi and scored his first international goal and the only goal of the game.

He was given the legendary number 10 previously worn by Ali Daei and scored on 15 January 2011 his 3rd international goal against North Korea, so Ansarifard became Iran's youngest ever goalscorer in the AFC Asian Cup.

On 1 June 2014, he was called into Iran's 2014 FIFA World Cup squad by Queiroz and played his first World Cup match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, coming on as a substitute for Ashkan Dejagah in the 68th minute.

He was a member of Iran national team in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup squad, where Team Melli was eliminated by Iraq in penalty shootout.

Karim Ansarifard has made 61 appearances for Iran national football team and scored 16 goals.
