PTV - Iran's national soccer midfielder, Merhzad Madanchi, has saved al-Sha'b team by scoring two valuable goals to tie with al-Nasr FC.

The match ended in a draw (2-2) in the 14th week of the UAE's premier league on Friday evening, IRNA reported.

Madanchi scored his first goal in the 10th minute and the other in the 54th.

Madanchi could have scored two other goals if it were not for the good performance of the al-Nasr goalkeeper.

Al-Sha'b currently stands 3rd on the country's league table.

Madanchi was selected as the best foreign player in the Emirates leagues by a public opinion poll on February 16.

Madanchi played for Fajr Sepasi of his hometown, Shiraz, then joined one of Iran's most popular clubs, Persepolis F.C. before moving on to al-Sha'b football Club in the UAE league in 2007.
