AFC - While insisting that he had thoroughly enjoyed his time at Italian club Perugia, Iranian defender Rahman Rezaei has expressed his wish to play for a bigger club after impressing in the current season.

Perugia are at present sitting in 11th place on the Serie A table, with Razaei having played a pivotal role after scoring two goals in the current season.

Razaei's contract expires at the end of the season and the Iranian international has urged the club to put a new offer on the table or he might have to look elsewhere to further his career.

"I am fine and things are Ok here in Italy," said Razaei. "In the game against Torino, I played for the full 90 minutes and the victory raised team spirits.

"Cosmi, head coach of Perugia, is happy with me and I am satisfied with myself too. However, I don’t feel like staying with Perugia anymore though. Staying in here is useless because I am not making any progress. I would like to go to a better club and will ask my manager to arrange it.

"The Perugia officials will have to agree one way or the other because my contract will finish at the end of the season."
