In the last week of games of the year of 1380 (Iranian calendar), we saw some very exciting games. Esteghlal is still on top, with Perspolis right on their tail, behind one point. Esteghlal (Tehran) defeated Teraktor Sazi (Tabriz) 1-0 with a late goal which came in the 84th minute by striker Faraz Fatemi. The first half of this game was pretty much even, both ides having numerous attacks and a couple corners. But the second half was very tense and included a lot of fouls and good attacks. Teraktor-Sazi took control of the game for about 15 minutes in this half, but Estgehlal was dominant throughout the rest of the half. The stars of the game for Esteghlal were Faraz Fatemi, Farzad Majidi, and a newcomer defender, Ghorbani. Ali Mousavi was not bad for the short time he played too, and it was actually his head pass which assisted fatemi's goal. Teraktor Sazi's stars were their goalie Hajeb, who saved a couple of one-on-one opportunities, the defense did not play well but Hajeb performed very well. Another great player was Farshbaf, who gave the Esteghlali defense a lot of trouble and caused a couple of dangerous situations which were not converted to goals because of no natural goal scorers up front for Teraktor Sazi. Teraktor Sazi has so many problems in their attack that in this match, their coach saw no other way to give some form to attack besides putting experienced defender, Kazem Mahmoudi up front, but it proved to be unsuccessful as he did not convert a couple of opportunities that he had. Esteghlal's line-up: Boroumand, Bakhtiarzadeh, Hashemi Nassab, Ghorbani, Seyed Abbassi, Fekri, Dinmohamadi, Gholiof(Mousavi), Khaziravi(Akbarpour), Majidi, Fatemi Teraktor Sazi's line-up: Hajeb, Azari, Mahmoudi, Sahakian(Khatibi), Sadatzadeh, Hairopitian, Saee, Taghizadeh, Shahryari, Farshbaf, Bakhtiari
Perspolis (Tehran) came back to win at home against Sepahan (Esfehan) after being behind 2-1. The game finished 3-2 for Perspolis. Perspolis dominated the first half of play, and was up 1-0, from a penalty kick which was scored by Behrooz Rahbarifar. The ref's call was somewhat unclear in this situation, as there was a clear foul on sohrab entezari, but it seemed the ref's call was on the tackle made on Pezhman Jamshidi, which did not seem to be a foul. If indeed, the ref's call was on the tackle made on Sohrab Entezari, then it means had whistled too late, and that is what probably happened. Leon Estepanian scored a goal for Sepahan in the beginning seconds of the 2nd half. Then Afshin hajipour added another to make it 2-1 for Sepahan. After this, it was Parvin's substitutions which saved Perspolis. Amir Hossein Aslanian entered the game and changed things with a goal to tie the game. Then in the last seconds of the game, Hamid Estili made a powerful shot which Petrosian did a good job to save, but Abolghasempour scored on the rebound to win the game for Perspolis. Perspolis' line-up: Fanaei, Peyrovani, Rahbarifar, Khanmohamadi, Estili, Jamshidi, Tar Tar, Halali, Kabvianpour, Jabbari(Aslanian), Entezari Sepahan's line-up: Pertosian,
Sartipi(Hajipour), Farahani, Mohagheghian, Farzaneh, Baghanbashi,
Basirat, Estepanian, Navidkia, Karimi, Bezik |
