PFDC - BARCELONA, Iran captain Javad Nekounam's beautiful second half goal was just enough to secure a 2-1 victory for Osasuna over Espanyol Barcelona on Sunday.
Osasuna had taken the lead through Lamah shortly before halftime before the well playing Nekounam doubled the advantage with a brilliant left footed shot from the edge of the area, five minutes after the restart.
The homeside pulled one back just six minutes later, but despite Osasuna's Satrustegui receiving his marching orders after 75 minutes, the Basques held on to the victory which lifted Osasuna into seventh postion of the table.
Meanwhile Reza Ghoochannejhad was once more on target in Belgium, scoring Sint Truiden's second goal from the penalty spot in the 2-1 win over OH Leuven on Saturday.
It was 'Gucci's' tenth league goal of the season, keeping him in second place of the goalscorers' ranking - three goals behind Jeremy Perbet - while Sint Truiden are second last in the table.
Also on Saturday, Ashkan Dejagah played 90 minutes in Vfl Wolfsburg's 0-2 loss in Augsburg in German Bundesliga. The possible future Team Melli winger was one of the better players in a weak Wolfsburg team.
