Khalatbari Al Wasl

DUBAI - Al Wasl Football Company announces the official signing of the 28 year old attacking midfielder Mohammad Reza Khalatbari from Qatari side Al Gharrafa. The midfielder signed a 6 months contract in the presence of H.E. Marwan Bin Beyat, Chairman of Al Wasl Football Company,H.E. Sweidan Al Naboodah, Vice Chairman and Mr.Abdullah Al-Bishr, Acting CEO of Al Wasl Football Company.

Khalatbari is considered to be a solid addition to Al Wasl and is a talented and very skilled attacking midfielder. He is considered to be one of the new professionals who will substitute one of twoforeign players whoweren’t successful with Al Wasl this season.

Looking to further strengthen the team, Al Wasl management and coach Diego Maradona, have made it clear that there will be some new signings made with the aim of reinforcing the team with players who can be of added value and that make a real difference.

Marwan Bin Beyat said: “We are using the current winter transfer window to restructure parts of the team based on our evaluation of the players in the past 4 months and after discussions with coach Maradona. Mohammad Reza is an exceptionally talented player and has the experience and skills that will help add value to the team. We are pleased to have him join us and we hope he adapts quickly and integrates into the team swiftly.”

Reza shared his excitement at joining the ranks of “The Emperor”. “Al Wasl is a great team and I know a lot about them. A number of fellow Iranian players played for Al Wasl and made their mark here and I hope to do the same and impress the fans and the coach.”

Reza added: “It is an honour to work under Diego Maradona and it still feels like a dream, but I'm here to work hard and try to quickly gain a starting spot and win the confidence of the fans, management and of course the coach.”
