Vingada

TEHRANTIMES - Iran U-23 football team coach Nelo Vingada is preparing his squad for the 2014 Asian Games which will be held in Incheon, South Korea from September 19 to October 4, 2014.

“We are focusing on improving players’ physical strength in the first phase of preparation”, Vingada said.

“Now we are working on technical strategies and I’m really satisfied with the result. Next step for us is the camp in China. We will have a couple of friendly games there and we hope that the team will get used to the weather conditions in the East Asia”, former Persepolis coach added.

Vingada who guided Portugal Olympic team to their best ever result in the 1996 Olympics, believes Iran U-23 team can at least get a medal in the Asian Games.

“After our camp in China, we will move straight to Incheon where I hope we end up with a medal in the 2014 Asian Games”, Vingada said.
