PLDC - Tehran, Foolad striker Farzad Hatami joins Persepolis.

Persepolis' official website has announced that Farzad Hatami has joined Persepolis after negotiations with Mohammad Royanian.

Hatami said, "I joined Persepolis after Ali Daei requested my transfer. I have a six month contract with the club."

Being a former Esteghlal player, Hatami's transfer to Persepolis may be a sensitive issue to many, as many loyalists to The Reds and The Blues believe that a player who has played for one of these clubs should not play for the other. Regarding this matter, Hatami explained, "I played for Esteghlal before, but as of now I am transferring to Persepolis from Foolad, not Esteghlal."
