Taha Zareei

Paatoop.com - Leixões S.C. goalkeeper Taha Zareei will start against Porto II.

After Ricardo Moura getting injured, Iranian goalkeeper Taha Zareei will get a chance to showcase his skills in an official match against
Porto II on Wednesday, August 26th, in Portugal’s Segunda Liga.

Regarding this opportunity, Taha Zareei told Paatoop.com, “I will show Portugal how good I can protect the net. I have been training non-
stop for the past year since I came to Portugal, and I am ready to prove to everyone that I am able to be a starting keeper.”

The 19-year-old goalkeeper added, “Young goalkeepers don’t often get a chance to start, because clubs prefer experienced goalkeepers, since us keepers are the last line of defense. However, I feel that I am ready because for one whole year all I have been doing is training,
conditioning, learning, and basically only focusing on football.”

After three matches this season, Leixões are currently in the relegation zone with only one point. Perhaps Zareei can be this club’s saviour and pull them up the table.
