Iran Beach Soccer

PTV - Iran’s men’s national beach soccer team has become Asia’s best in the September edition of the Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) rankings, and landed in the seventh spot in the world.


According to the latest monthly rankings released by the BSWW, the organization responsible for the founding and growth of the association football derivative sport of beach soccer, the Iranian team collected 1,574 points, ranking first in Asia.

Japan claimed the 11th slot in the latest BSWW rankings with 1,078 points. The Samurais are followed by the United Arab Emirates and Oman, which occupied the 13th and 14th spots respectively with 1,009 and 886 points.

Powerhouse Russia is the top-ranked beach soccer team in the world with 3,174 points. Portuguese amassed 3,116 points to claim the second position while third-place Brazilians bagged 2,630 points. Italy stands fourth with 2,117 points.
