Tasnim - Iran coach Carlos Queiroz says that to play Japan is a good opportunity to test his players since the team has lots of quality.

Tuesday’s international friendly will see Iran host four-time Asian Cup champion Japan at Tehran’s Azadi stadium.

Team Melli drew 1-1 with Oman in Muscat on Wednesday in the 2018 World Cup qualifier, while Japan beat Syria 3-0 in the Omani capital.

“Everything is going well with us, but we're playing a very good team,” Queiroz said.

“They have international players who have played with Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, so they have lots of quality.

“It will be a good chance for our players to match up against those with international experience.”

Queiroz encouraged fans to attend the game at the Azadi Stadium, saying all of the team’s energy is focused on Tuesday.

“If we get 50,000 people in the stadium that will be a win for Iran,” the Portuguese coach added.
