PLDC - "My behavior in the game against Perspolis was not appropriate and the referee did the right thing to red card me." The Croatian coach of Foolad Khuzestan, Vinko Begovich, in addition to this told reporter, "I apologize for my behavior but I am coaching a team that most of its players are from the 17 to 23 age range and they are like my kids, and I can not sit and watch them being treated unfairly.

I am a sensitive person and I think of my players as my children and no father can stand watching his sons being treated such way." He added," These young players are the future of the Iranian football and why should there be more support for more experienced and older players while these kids work harder and are the future of Iran's football. I will someday leave Iran, I might even leave Iran tomorrow, but shouldn't there be someone to support and protect these young talented players."

About Thursday's game against Perspolis, he said:" Obviously the fact that there have been six goals scored in this game is an indication of the high quality of the game, and my players had a good day and played well. Even though we have lost some of our main players for this season, I am happy with the performance of my players, and there are some good players on the bench that we will use as time comes. For years, I have said that Yahya Golmohammadi is a great football player, and not many people had listened to me, but now everyone knows what a wonderful player he is."

when he was asked why his players performed better in this game in particular, he said," all of my players did well, Kaabi and Sarj though were the stars of my team, and in Perspolis, Golmohammadi played very well in the second half." At the end, and in regards to Foolad's future plans, he concluded," We have given our players five days off, but you can be assure of the fact that Foolad will perform much better in the second half of the season."
