IRNA - In front of home fans in Hafezieh Stadium, the Shirazi side Fajr-e Sepassi lost on Friday although Farshid Talebi scored two late goals. In the 13th week of the second Iran Pro League (IPL) commemorating late Karim Nayyerlou, Fajr was beaten by visitor Esteqlal of Tehran 3-2.
Yadollah Akbari put Esteqlal ahead in the 7th minute from the spot-kick. Striker Ali Samereh made it 2-0 on 30 minutes and defender-cum-striker Mehdi Hashemi-Nassab added another in the 44th minute.
Talebi's last-ditch effort helped Fajr reduce the gap as he scored two consolation goals in the 90th and seventh minutes into the injury time.
Masoud Moradi judged the match. Esteqlal of Tehran is at the 5th place of IPL table with 20 points
and Fajr has 21 points standing 4th. Sepahan of Isfahan is leading the league with 31 points.
