IRNA - The president of the world' soccer governing body, FIFA, said the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) can count on the support of FIFA for achieving its objectives.
Sepp Blatter made the remark on Sunday in a message relayed to Mohammad Daadkan, the newly elected chief of the federation.
In his message, the FIFA supremo told Daadkan that he now has charge of an exciting and complicated task that will help the nation's football achieve its real position in the international arena.
The head of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Mohammad bin Hammam, wished Daadkan great success and expressed hope the IFF and the AFC will be able to put sound Asian football views into practice.
Hammam, moreover, expressed confidence the election of Daadkan will bring greater progress to Iranian football.
