IRNA - Esteqlal of Tehran overcame the Abadani side, San'at Naft, in a 15th-week match of Iran Pro League (IPL) here on Friday. Playing on the uneven pitch of Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, the blues managed to defeat Naft 1-0. Midfielder Farzad Majidi scored the sole goal of Esteqlal in the 17th minute.
Referee Faraj Yasrebi and linesmen Hossein Nejati and Hassan Karbassi judged the match. Esmaeil Halali of Naft was booked in the match.

*Abu Moslem holds IPL leader Sepahan

Visitor Abu Moslem of Khorassan held the leader of Iran Pro League (IPL), Sepahan, on Friday. In the 15th week of the league, the two sides fought to a 1-1 draw in Naqsh-e Jahan Stadium, Isfahan.
In front of over 7,000 spectators, striker Reza Enayati put Abu Moslem ahead in the 35th minute that was responded by Sepahan striker Edmond Bezik on 79 minutes.
Assisted by two linesmen Mohammad-Hassan Mo'tamedifar and Jalil Khorramabadi, Hadayatollah Mobini refereed the match.

*Zob Ahan stuns SAIPA at home

Visitor Zob Ahan of Isfahan handed SAIPA a defeat on Friday. In a 15th-week match of Iran Pro League (IPL), Zob beat SAIPA 1-0 in Shariati Stadium of Karaj, 40 km west of Tehran as Mojtaba Nazeri slotted home in the 74th minute.

On February 23, Malavan of Bandar Anzali hosts Pas and the two capital-based sides, Persepolis and Paykan, play in Tehran.
