TEHRAN - Persepolis Sunday fought back to tie Paykan in the 15th week of Iran Pro League and Malavan defeated visitor Pas. Playing on the muddy pitch of Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, Persepolis shared the points with Paykan as the match ended 1-1.
Striker Ali-Asghar Modir-Rousta put Paykan ahead in the second minute that was responded by substitute Ali Salmani whose first touch in the 58th minute secured parity for the reds.
Winning 25 points, Persepolis is at the second place of IPL table and Paykan is the fifth-placed side with 22 points.
In Bandar Anzali, Gilan Province, Malavan celebrated it 1-0 win over Pas.
Keyvan Sajedi scored the sole goal of the match in the 63rd minute.
Ahmad Jamshidian of Malavan and Pas midfielder Javad Nekounam did not convert penalties in the 24th and 67th minutes respectively.
