IRNA - Qatar's Al Sadd soccer team is willing
to hire the Iranian striker of the UAE's Al Wasl, Farhad Majidi, for
two months. The informed sources told IRNA that Al Sadd has officially offered
a purse of 200 thousand dollars for the two-month contract to the Emirati club.
Al Sadd intends to field Majidi in Qatar Emir Cup and Crown Prince Cup.
Al Sadd signed the 36-year-old striker of Brazil, Romario, to boost its Champions League prospects but the Asian Football
Confederation (AFC) announced that he was ineligible to play.
Brazil striker Romario, a member of the 1994 World Cup winning squad, was blocked from playing for his new Qatar club Al Sadd in the
Asian Champions League after signing a $1.5 million deal for three months.
Tournament regulations stipulate that all players must register at least 30 days before the start.
