Tasnim – Iran Football Federation suspended Afshin Peyrovani from all football activities on a national and international level for five years.
Peyrovani has been accused of accepting bribes from Iran national football team’s sponsor when he was Team Melli’s sporting director in 2016.
Ex-Iran defender was appointed as Persepolis sporting director in December.
The 48-year-old defender was a member of Persepolis football team for most of his career.
Peyrovani has 66 caps for Team Melli and was a participant at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
