HITC - Everton are likely to be busy in the transfer market again this summer, and the potential input of PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands should make things interesting.

The Toffees are set to land Brands as their new transfer guru heading into the summer transfer window, and he may just target a host of top Eredivisie stars.

Hakim Ziyech and Hirving Lozano have already been mentioned, but AZ Alkmaar winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh must be a player on Everton's radar this summer.

The Iranian international, who looks set to star at the World Cup in Russia this summer, has enjoyed a remarkable season with 19 goals and 12 assists in just 36 outings, becoming one of the Eredivisie's top stars.

The 24-year-old was even targeted by Brands at PSV back in 2015 according to Soccer News in the Netherlands, and after such a stunning season, he should still be on the Dutchman's radar.

Even Everton's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri should be familiar with Jahanbakhsh. Moshiri is of Iranian descent, and Rubin Kazan boss Kurban Berdyev was quoted by the Daily Record in January as saying that Moshiri specifically asked him for Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun.

Whilst Azmoun has been labelled 'the Iranian Messi', it's Jahanbakhsh who is the star of the show for Iran, and if Moshiri wants Azmoun, then he should certainly be open to landing Jahanbakhsh this summer.

His work on the right side would allow Theo Walcott to switch over to the left in a dangerous attack either side of Cenk Tosun, and whilst Davy Klaassen hasn't panned out since his move from Ajax, Everton shouldn't hold back from signing another Eredivisie star this summer – and the unheralded Jahanbakhsh should be a top target.
