PLDC – With 20 days until to Iran Professional League (IPL) new season kicks off, Mame Baba Thiam has yet travel to Iran to extend his contract.
The Senegalese joined Esteghlal on an 18-year-month contract in February.
Thiam scored a hat trick in the match against Zob Ahan, helping Esteghlal advance to the AFC Champions League quarter-final.
The striker had been linked with move to Kuwaiti football team Al Kuwait and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia but the Iranian giant accepted to increase his contract offer.
Esteghlal is going to hold a training camp in Turkey but Thiam has not traveled to Tehran and the Blues will likely part company with him.
