Mojtaba Jabbari

PLDC – Ex-Esteghlal and Iran national football team midfielder has officially announced his retirement from football at the age of 35.

Due to his father's career as an employee for Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (IRR), Jabbari began his club football playing for Rah Ahan. His coach at the club, Reza Ahadi soon moved to Esteghlal youth team, and took Jabbari with himself. 

To gain experience, he was loaned out to Aboomoslem. He was part of the team that went to final of the Hazfi Cup.

Jabbari joined Esteghlal in 2005 and played 170 matches for the Blues and scored 32 goals in eight years. 

He also made 31 appearances for Iran national football team and scored three goals. 

Jabbari returned to Esteghlal after four years in July 2017 from Al Ahli of Qatar but was forced to leave the team after four games in Iran professional league.
