PLDC – Esteghlal free-agent midfielder Server Reshatovich Djeparov signed a contract with Kazakhstan football club Zhetysu on Thursday.
The Uzbekistan international footballer did not reach agreement Esteghlal and joined Zhetysu on a two-year contract.
Djeparov, who has won the Asian Footballer of the Year award twice in 2008 and 2011, helped Esteghlal win Iran’s Hazfi Cup and reach AFC Champions League quarters.
The financial details of the contract have not been revealed.
Esteghlal will begin the new season of Iran Professional League on Friday with a match against Paykan in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
