PLDC – New signing of Tractor Sazi football team Ashkan Dejagah says Iran national football coach Carlos Queiroz played any part in his decision to join the Tabriz-based club.
Iran captain has recently joined Tractor Sazi on a three-year contract.
Dejagah has hit out at speculation over his transfer to Tractor Sazi.
“Joining Tractor Sazi was my decision and Queiroz played any part in my choice,” Dejagah said.
Tractor Sazi suffered a 3-0 defeat to Esteghlal in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
“Esteghlal put us under pressure and I apologize to the fans for this result. I hope we will become a better team in the near future,” the former Fulham midfielder stated.
“I am not completely ready but after a while I will be fit,” Dejagah concluded.
