Karim Ansarifard Nottingham Forest

HITC - Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing Karim Ansarifard from Olympiacos and Middlesbrough’s Rudy Gestede on transfer deadline day.

Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Karim Ansarifard on loan from Olympiacos on transfer deadline day, according to The Nottingham Post.

It has been reported that Greek giants Olympiacos could allow Ansarifard to move to Forest in the Championship in England on loan.

The report has also claimed of interest in the 28-year-old forward - who played for Iran at the 2018 World Cup in Russia in the summer - from Dutch clubs SC Heerenveen and FC Utrecht.

The Nottingham Post has reported that Forest manager Aitor Karanka is looking at Middlesbrough striker Rudy Gestede on transfer deadline day.

Need for another forward

With Ben Brereton having left for Blackburn Rovers and Lewis Grabban on the sidelines at the moment with an Achilles problem, Forest do need another forward.

Ansarifard is a very experienced forward, but the 28-year-old forward is not very prolific and could struggle in the Championship, especially if he has to hit the ground running.

Gestede is the safer option, but the 29-year-old Benin international striker’s has not been in great form for a while now.
