PLDC – Iran national football team head coach Carlos Queiroz says he is waiting until the last moment for his injured players.
Team Melli will begin its campaign in Group D of the AFC Asian Cup 2019 where it will play Iraq, Yemen and AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 winner Vietnam.
“First of all, I would like to thank the Iranian media due to attending the training session. As you see, we are training in an excellent camp in Doha. I also want to say a special thank you to the Qataris officials for helping us to hold the training camp here,” Queiroz said.
Injured players are a big worry for Team Melli with less than two weeks for the start of the AFC Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
Ali Gholizadeh, Saeid Ezatolahi and Sadegh Moharrami are doubtful for the competition.

“We will wait until December 26 and then announce the Team Melli’s list. We will wait until the last to know if we can have these players or not. All players fight for their places in the list,” the Portuguese added.
“Some people say to win the 2019 AFC Asian Cup is an easy task but they are not right. We have to concentrate on what is happening on and off the pitch,” Queiroz stated.
