Godwin Mensha

PLDC – Nigerian striker Godwin Mensha has been deemed surplus to requirements at Persepolis and would be allowed to leave the team in January.

Mensha played a major part in Persepolis reaching the final of the AFC Champions League for the first time since the tournament started in 2003. He also was an important player for Persepolis in finishing the first half of the Iran Professional League season as one the leaders.

However, the Nigerian striker has failed to meet the expectations since he has reached 1,000 minutes without scoring for Persepolis.

Mensha signed a two-year contract with Persepolis in May 2017 from Paykan.

He scored 12 goals in his first season but has scored just two goals in the current season.

Sanat Naft is reportedly interested in signing him.
