IRIB - Foreign coach move to lead the national soccer squad was put off due to certain problems, Iran's Football Federation (IFF) president, Mahmud Dadkan told IRIB Sunday.

Iran's football federation have finalised preliminary talks with foreign coaches, paving the way to appoint one of the negotiators, he said.

The former coach Homayoun Shahrokhi remins on the driving seat for the time being, Dadkan continued.

Even if the foreign coach comes to handle the team, Shahroukhi would keep his own status in the team, the IFF president said.

The Iranian football organizers have already held talks with French Philipe Troussier, Ole Viera and Branco Ivancovic, he added.
