Tasnim – Esteghlal and Sepahan football teams emerged victorious over their rivals in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.
Esteghlal defeated Sanat Naft 5-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Mohammad Daneshgar opened the scoring in the 9th minute and Cheick Diabaté made it 2-0 with a header in the 20th minute.
Mehdi Ghaedi scored Esteghlal’s third goal just inside the penalty area in the 26th minute.
Vouria Ghafouri was on target four minutes later and Hrvoje Milic scored Esteghlal’s fifth goal with five minutes remaining.
In Isfahan, Sepahan defeated Tractor 2-0 thanks to goals from Sajad Shahbazzadeh (44th) and Kiros Stanlley (51st).
Sepahan remains top of the table with 22 points, followed by Persepolis (19 points) and Esteghlal (18 points).
