PLDC – Persepolis and Iran national football team goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand, who was supposed to travel to Belgium early Sunday, failed to leave Tehran.
He was reportedly not allowed to leave Iran due to visa problem.
Beiranvand had already tried to join Antwerp but could not leave Iran due to coronavirus restrictions.
Belgian team Antwerp has recently completed the signing of Mouscron goalkeeper Jean Butez.
Beiranvand will have to undergo medical exams to join the Belgian football team.
