IRNA - Iranian football wonderkid Ashkan
Dejagah scored the crucial second goal as Germany's under-19 national
football team defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in the European Cup qualifier
late Sunday evening in the Czech city of Uherske Hrdiste.
One of the best players on the field, Dejagah netted the winning goal in the
73rd minute of the game.
The 19-year-old Hertha Berlin striker threatened the Dutch goal on several
occasions as the German side repeatedly launched dangerous counterattacks.
The German under-19 squad, which also beat Croatia 3-0 in its first game,
meets the Czech Republic Wednesday.
A draw catapults the Germans into the junior European Cup, scheduled to take
place in Northern Ireland from July 16-28.
