Sportalasia- Jamshed Nassiri, a former star in the Indian football league, will be looking to his homeland of Iran to supply fresh new talent to Indian clubs.

Having once enjoyed success in the Indian League himself as a player with East Bengal, the ex-Bengal Mumbai FC coach will now be seeking out Iranian talent for clubs like East Bengal and Mahidras.

Nassiri says that he has received enquiries from a number of Indian clubs for promising Iranian players, and he is confident of striking favourable deals for all involved.

"Football culture is quite extensive in Iran and I will sound out some of the youngsters, who are turning out for Esteghlal Club in Khozestan district - the place where I come from. Incidentally, Esteghlal has a number of branches around the country and players from such district units should be affordable," said Nassiri.

"I am ready to even make the initial investment. I am sure they will be able to make a niche sooner than later," he added.
