Tehran, May 31, IRNA -- Managing director of Tehran's Esteqlal announced Friday that Mansour Pour-Heidari stays among blues and works as a technical manager.
Talking to IRNA, Ali Fat'hollah-Zadeh added that an experienced coach from Germany or Brazil would join the popular team of Iran in the near future.
According to the managing director, Pour-Heidari attending the recent meeting of Technical Committee handed in his resignation and complained of problems and overwork.
Esteqlal owes to Pour-Heidari, said Fat'hollah-Zadeh adding "I will support him as long as I am in charge of Esteqlal."
Touching upon the stunning 1-0 loss of Esteqlal to Malavan in the last week of Iran Pro League, he said that the failure should not be merely attributed to the head coach (Pour-Heidari) and all members of club are responsible for the team's lackluster performance.
Pour-Heidari was decided to be on leave for one month and restore his energies, said the official continuing that former Esteqlal player, Amir Qal'e-Noei, was installed as the coach and Ebrahim Talebi as his assistant. The two newly-appointed coaches officially started work Thursday.
Fat'hollah-Zadeh said Valiollah Salehnia and Mansour Rashidi would continue their cooperation as physical fitness and goalkeeping coaches respectively but Parviz Mazloumi is not a blue any longer.
