MNA – Zob Ahan beat the struggling Rah Ahan 4-3 in the last rescheduled midseason game of the sixth Iran Pro League in Fuladshahr Stadium, Isfahan, Monday.

The home side Zob was 3-0 ahead as Mohammadreza Khal’atbari, Farshid Talebi, and Mehdi Rajabzadeh found the net on 16, 30, and 37 minutes of the 13th week match respectively.

Rah Ahan, however, minimized the gap through Ahmad Jamshidian who celebrated his double in the 39th and 60th minutes.

Zob was forced to play the last 20 minutes with 10 men as Khal’atbari was red-carded by referee Mohsen Qahremani and the visitor, too, was reduced to 10 men when Amin Torkashvand received his marching orders.

The two sides added one each, with Zob’s Georg Strotolat and Rah Ahan’s Hadi Asghari hitting in the additional times.

The narrow victory helped Zob jump one spot to ninth with 19 points and Rah Ahan lies in the 15th place on nine.

Pacesetter SAIPA has 34 points while the second-placed Esteqlal of Tehran has garnered 30 points and Persepolis has collected 25.
