Fantasy Football

PLDC - There’s not much better than being able to play a game for free which could reward you with some top prizes and offers the opportunity to pit your football knowledge against your friends. That’s exactly the service that you’ll get from Fantasy Football, where you can make a team from all of your favourite Premier League players and win some big prizes if you’re able to finish at the top of the table.

The Fantasy Premier League is the English version of Fantasy Football, which originally came from a similarly set out American game which focused on American football. It’s meant that the Fantasy Premier League is as worth playing as Fantasy Football is in the USA, with offices across the country battling with one another in an attempt to reign supreme. That being said, even with an extensive knowledge of the sport, it’s still a massive challenge to build a winning Fantasy Football team.

By looking at the form of each player in your team and seeing where more successful players are taking their points, you should be able to work out what’s going wrong in your team. You should also see what team your player is going to play next, considering whether a goalkeeper or defender is likely to keep a clean sheet, whether a midfielder is likely to run the game, and whether a striker is likely to score, taking any injuries or suspensions into consideration.

Fantasy Premier League Chips

One of the most important things to consider is the use of the Fantasy Premier League Chips, which can enhance your team in several ways either temporarily or on a permanent basis. These include:

Triple Captain - Rewards your chosen Captain with three times the amount of points they achieve in the next gameweek, with this being applied to your chosen Vice Captain if your Captain doesn’t make an appearance.

Bench Boost - Allows for the points taken from players on your bench to be included in your total for the week. Players on your bench would usually see their points excluded from your Active Team’s total, so this is important if you think that all of your players will have a good game.

Free Hit - Offers the chance to swap your entire team for just one week. This is useful if a lot of key players are injured or suspended, especially if you know that they’ll be back in the following gameweek. It’s also a good chance to see who could be worth transferring permanently by temporarily having them in your team.

Wildcard - Usually allowed twice throughout the season, the Wildcard chip offers Fantasy Football players with the chance to change their entire team without having to sacrifice any points. Most players will use this chip when they’ve got sick of missing out on points and want to make a big change.
