AFC - Iraq’s AFC Asian Cup
winning coach Jorvan Vieira signed an 18-month contract with 2007 AFC
Champions League runners-up Sepahan on Friday.
The 54-year-old, who led the Iraqis to Asian glory for the first time last
July, takes over the helm of the three-time Hazfi Cup champions from Luka
Bonacic after the Croat left Iran to become head coach of struggling UAE
outfit Al Nasr in January.
Iran represents the seventh Asian nation Vieira has worked in following
stints in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
