PLDC - The Iranian National Football Team
players and staff left Tehran early yesterday morning, 25th September for
South Korea to take part in the 14th Asian Games. They began their
practice sessions before their match
with Afghanistan (28/09/2002) from Friday morning for the Busan
tournament.
Numerous fans and autograph seekers, Mohammad Dadkan, new head of the
Iranian Football Federation, and the ambassador to South Korea wished the
National Team success and saw them off. Ali Daei (National Team captain)
will join them on Friday flying directly from the UAE.
Iran’s first match against Afghanistan
will take place tomorrow, 28th, at 12:30 (Tehran time).
