IRNA - Branco Ivankovic
was appointed Tuesday as the head coach of Iran's national soccer team.
Saying the above statement, Iran's Football Federation (IFF) added: "Due
to the illness of former head coach of Iran, Miroslav Blazevic, and his
written request on resignation, he was replaced by Croat Ivankovic."
Holding a PhD in physical education, the newly-appointed coach, 47,
has over 18 years of experience in coaching different national teams and
clubs.
Ivankovic played in 263 official matches between 1971 and 1983.
