PLDC - Ali Ansarian, controversial Persepolis striker, performed well against Peykan in the second week of the Iranian Professional League. He was even praised by club head coach, Ali Parvin.
In a short interview with the media and press he commented, "After our match against Bargh (week one), because of various things we could only hold two tactical practice sessions. This and the bad grass conditions in Takhti stadium prevented us from performing according to fan expectations. This week though things will be completely different."

"The competition in the new league has become much more intense and the teams are stronger too. In the past most of the National Team players were in Persepolis and Esteghlal, but now they are spread out among all the teams. This means that the old days of goal-killing the weaker teams is past and all the clubs are closer to each other. Most out-of-town teams have their share of National Team players now."

"You should therefore not expect Persepolis to defeat Bargh for example with a high goal difference. I do accept of course that Persepolis hasn't done all that well in the first two weeks. When the pressures on the team become less, we'll perform better."
