PLDC - In the recent board meeting of Persepolis of Tehran, the club chairman, Akbar Ghamkhar commented on various team matters and discussed the team problems in the Professional League. He said, “Although I am satisfied with the recent results and the matches played by the team and give full support to the technical staff, the fact that the fans expect more attractive and successful matches from the club after the spending of
such great finances on the club is a just objection.”

“There have also been various faults found with the gaining of merit by the club and the methods of playing. There will be a joint meeting of the club officials and the technical staff soon to discuss the matter.
Most of the worries of the club at present are about the Asian games. The board of directors does not see the team technique and tactics as good enough for taking part in the Asian games and gaining the championship title.”

“According to our latest decisions the club’s youth, under-18 and under-16 team management will be handed over to foreign coaches with the aim of improving the foundations of the club. This change will be affected from next month.”
