PLDC - The Italian head coach of Saipa, Giovanni May, has commented about his club and the football in Iran in a recent interview with the press, “Iran’s football is not so different from that of Europe. Iran’s football has slight differences in detail and that’s all. Before this I imagined that Iran and Saipa’s football would be very dissimilar but I was mistaken.”

“Here only the weak points of the players in the areas of tactic and technique and physical readiness have to be solved to get results and have a coordinated, balanced team. Football is a sport which may go forward or retreat. Through the cooperation of the club and the technical staff, we intend to make progress and rise in the league.”

“In each game it is possible to win, draw or lose. The final result will depend on very small details which the coach must take into account at all times to get ahead. We are trying to do our best in Saipa to get the best results. The final evaluation of the team must be made when the league has ended and the outcome has become known”
