PLDC - Peykan faced Sepahan of
Esfahan at home and lost the match with the result of 2-0 in the 7th week
of the Iranian Professional League. In a very exciting match full of
attacks and counters Sepahan presented a fine
performance and proved it was on the winning streak and meant to stay at
the top.
Moharam Navidkia scored the first goal for Sepahan in the third minute of
the first half. The second was again by Navidkia on a penalty in the 71st
minute which was the result of a foul on Karimi in the penalty area.
Despite Peykan’s attempt to win, they got nowhere and settled for the
loss. The Sepahan boys performed well and were in top shape. They have now
become the claimants for the championship title and seem on the way
to winning it. Peykan still occupies a place at the bottom of the table
with only 5 points and no victories to date. Sepahan is at the top of the
league table with the 19 points.
