IRNA - Visitor Zob Ahan of Isfahan here Friday held the popular side of Tehran, Esteqlal, in the 10th week of second Iran Pro League.
The two teams playing on the uneven field of Takhti Stadium, south of Tehran, fought to a goalless draw.
Zob came close to the winner in the last minute of the game but the post denied midfielder Rafael Nazerian, who fired an unstoppable shot. Khodadad Afsharian judged the match. Winning 15 points Esteqlal is at the sixth place of table.

*Naft walking tightrope, Ahvazi blues sinking

San'at Naft of Abadan is neighboring the two relegation-zone sides, Malavan of Bandar Anzali and Ahvaz-based Esteqlal, with slight unreliable point(s). In a 10th-week match of the second Iran Pro League (IPL) that 14 teams are competing, the bottom-placed blue-clad Esteqlal of Ahvaz and 12th-placed Naft fought to a 1-1 draw in Takhti Stadium of Abadan on Friday.
Raf'at Qoliov put Naft ahead in the second minute but Davoud Haqi of Esteqlal secured the parity as he grabbed the equalizer in the 49th minute.
Naft has 9 points while the 13th-placed side Malavan and Esteqlal of Ahvaz have collected 7 and 6 points respectively.
Over 10,000 fans watched the match. Referee Hossein Boraqi and his two linesmen Iraj Shahrizadegan and Alireza Rajabloo judged the derby.

*Underdog Malavan loses to SAIPA

Conditions of the relegation-zone Malavan were aggravated as it lost to visitor SAIPA Friday in the 10th week of Iran Pro League. Mehdi Amirabadi of SAIPA scored the sole goal of the match in the 22nd minute.
The in-form goalkeeper of SAIPA, Behzad Gholampour, stripped Malavan players of scoring in the 15th and 17th minutes.
Referee Ali Khosravi judged the match in Takhti Stadium of Bandar Anzali. Malavan is at the 13th place of table with seven points and the bottom-placed Esteqlal of Ahvaz has 6 points.

*Paykan-Foulad match ends in a goalless tie

The Friday's match between Foulad of Khuzestan and Tehrani side Paykan had no winner. Before some 5,000 spectators in Takhti Stadium of Ahvaz, the two sides did not find the back of the net and the 10th-week match of the second Iran Pro League ended nil-nil.

*Resurgent Barq beats Abu Moslem

In the 10th week of Iran Pro League commemorating late Abdollah Saedi, Barq of Shiraz fought back to defeat the representative of Khorasan, Abu Moslem, Friday. In front of home fans in Hafezieh Stadium, Barq netted twice to
overcome Abu Moslem 2-1. Abu Moslem striker Reza Enayati opened the scoring in the 32nd minute that was responded twice by Mehdi Shiri of Barq in the 46th minute Mohammad Mansouri in the 67th minute. Iraj Nazari was the referee.
