Gulf News - Kuwaiti national team striker Bashar Abdullah signed yesterday for Al Ahli Club to play with their senior football team in the remaining matches of the league.

Bashar will replace Iranian gifted striker Ali Karimi who is still suffering from an injury he sustained in a league match against Al Nasr last month.

Al Ahli are competing powerfully to win the league title this season. They are now in the fourth place with 25 points, three adrift of leaders Al Shaab.

Bashar Abdullah, who was playing for Al Salmya Club of Kuwait, joined Al Ain Club at the beginning of December, he played one league match with them against his new club Al Ahli which Ahli won 4-2.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli senior football team will leave today to Fujairah for a one-week training camp to prepare for their coming league match in the 15th stage against Al Wasl on January 28.

The UAE FA have decided to postponed the 15th stage to next week to pave the way for the under-20 international friendly tournament, in which the UAE youth team taking part, starting today in Abu Dhabi.
