Khordbin: “Bagheri will NOT be with Perspolis in Asian Champion’s League.”


PLDC - Karim Bagheri will not play for Perspolis in the upcoming Asian Champion’s league games. Khordbin told reporter yesterday that based on Bagheri’s current situation and AFC’s recent demands regarding the rosters, we will replace him with another player soon.

AFC - The Asian Football Confederation has issued a reminder to teams participating in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League that players playing in the competition must have been registered with the club at least 30 days before the commencement of the tournament in order to be eligible.

National team's first practice session was held


PLDC - Iranian National Team's first practice session was held yesterday as the team prepares its self for New Zealand game. According to reports, the players first had a short meeting with the coaching staff about the conditions of the camp and its regulations.

Mayeli Kohan elected as Olympic coach!


PFDC - It was announced today that the former Iran coach, Mohammad Mayeli Kohan has been elected as the head coach for the Iranian Olympic team for the Athens 2004.

PLDC - Rejecting any kind of talk with Talebi ,Fathollahzadeh said to reporters: "Esteghlal club has trust in its coaches and their performance. Perspolis will camp for the Asian club championship starting Thursday


PLDC - Perspolis Football team will start its preparations for the Asian Club Championship most probably starting on Thursday in order to make an impressive appearance in the games.

Perspolis's friendly match against the Algerian national team is cancelled. Al-Merikh of Sudan will replace Algeria.


PLDC - According to negotiations with the Algerian Football Federation, this country's national football team was scheduled to come to Iran and play a friendly against Perspolis football club, but due to the unstable conditions of the Middle East, the Algerians have cancelled their trip.

Persepolis, Paykan Tie


TEHRAN - Persepolis Sunday fought back to tie Paykan in the 15th week of Iran Pro League and Malavan defeated visitor Pas. Playing on the muddy pitch of Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, Persepolis shared the points with Paykan as the match ended 1-1.

30 players called up for New Zealand encounter


PFDC - Thirty players were invited to the senior national team of Iran to prepare for the Asian-Oceania clash against New Zealand on March 25th.
