His father, Andranik, played for the Cosmos in the early 1980's and also played for Iran in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina.

The prospective candidates who wish to be chosen for the post only have one week to personally register themselves at the IFF head quarters.
PLDC - In the 7th week of the Iranian Professional League, Persepolis faced Fajr Shiraz at home and won the match with the result of 2-0. The goal by Persepolis in the first half was scored by Payan Rafaat in the 37th minute. In a post match interview with the press, Rafaat said, “We witnessed a smooth, professional game from Persepolis after a long time. This victory made the fans and the players happy.”
