IRAN WOMEN FOOTBALL

Tasnim - Iranian women football team finished the Kuban Spring Women U-19 with a win over Estonia.


The Iranian team defeated Estonia 3-1.

Fatemeh Gerayli, Fatemeh Hosseini Sharifi and Shabnam Behesht scored for the Iranian team.

Iran lost to Romania (4-3), Japan (2-0), Russia (4-0) and Krasnodar (2-1) in the tournament which brought eight team together.

Iran finished in sixth place at the end of the competition.

The tournament was held for the first time in 2004 in Poltava Stanitsa, Krasnodar Krai. It began as a club tournament, later acquiring international status, and since 2010, it is held in Sochi.
