Hitc - The Heerenveen man would be an excellent addition to the West Bromwich Albion squad.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis has a lot of work to do this summer, if he is to guide his side to a successful campaign, and it will be of paramount importance for him to supplement the signing of Jay Rodriguez by bringing another top class striker to the Hawthorns.

With this in mind, West Brom should consider a move for Heerenveen hitman Reza Ghoochannejhad, who enjoyed a wonderfully successful campaign in the Eredivisise last season.

The 29-year-old striker banged in 22 goals in 37 outings for the Dutch side last term, showcasing his clinical nature on a consistent basis.

Standing at 5ft 10in, and quick along the ground, the Iranian would be ideal for the Baggies. He possesses all of the attributes which would make him the ideal strike partner for Rodriguez, and his presence at the Hawthorns would provide Pulis with the opportunity to play with two up front, which would in turn make them less predictable to play against.

Ghoochannejhad already has experience of playing in England too, after spending a two year spell with Charlton earlier on in his career, so he will be well used to the robust nature of the game.

After his Baggies side scored just 43 goals in the league last season, Pulis needs to find a way of injecting more potency into their attacking play, and by playing two strikers through the middle, he might be able to do just that.

And the 37-capped Iran international forward could be the perfect man for the job.
