IRNA - Iran's national football team on Saturday arrived in Nuremberg for their Group D kick-off with Mexico on Sunday.

The Iranian squad landed in Nuremberg at 10 a.m. local time and headed to their team headquarters at the Hilton Hotel.

The Iranian players are scheduled to hold a 45-minute training session at Nuremberg's Franken Stadium at 5:45 p.m.

According to a team spokesman, Iran's offensive half-back Fereydoon Zandi will miss the Mexico game with an injury.

Meanwhile Iranian defender Sattar Zare who was suffering a knee injury in practice, will be ready for the crucial Mexico game.

Iran are placed in Group D with Mexico, Portugal and Angola.
