MNA - Persepolis coach Ali Daei says that 90 percent of the Iranian players dream of playing for his football team.

“To play for Persepolis is a dream for 90 percent of the Iranian players. This means we are a big club and we have to meet expectations,” Daei said on Sunday.

“Persepolis is playing better than it did in the past two years. Discipline is the most important factor in my team, and undisciplined players face suspension from playing,” he added.

“We have put aside our victory over our rival in Tehran’s derby Esteghlal. Now Persepolis is concentrating on the next matches,” Daei pointed out.

Persepolis will meet Iran-Javan of Bushehr in Iran’s elimination cup on Tuesday. The Tehran-based team was heavily beaten by Shahin of Bushehr 4-1 last month.

When asked whether the return to the southern city would remind him of the heavy loss, Daei said, “That match is over and no team will be able to beat Persepolis such as they did in the next 1000 years,” Daei concluded.
