MNA - Reigning champion Iran ended up in a tough group on Thursday in the AFC U-16 Championship.

Iran was drawn in Group B along with Syria, North Korea and Oman in the competitions which will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from October 24 to November 7.
The Persian boys are scheduled to play Oman in their opening on October 24 at the Jar Stadium.
 
Iran defeated South Korea 2-1 in the last edition final game and won the title for the first time.
 
The top two teams in each group (eight teams in total) will qualify for the knockout stage.
 
The four semi-finalists will represent Asia at the FIFA U-17 World Cup next year.
